- We are delighted this year to be able to offer a 12-week Summer Internship from June to September 2024, specialising in Technical Logistics.
- What you’ll do
- Providing clean water and the removal of waste water doesn’t just happen. Our team of 300 samplers, scientists and support staff analyse their way through an average of one test every minute to ensure we protect public health and the environment. As such there is an ever-growing need for accurate real time data benefited by advancements in field monitoring technology.
- As a Technical Logistics intern, you’ll be based within our Scientific Services function. You’ll have the opportunity to visit treatment works, learn what analysis is conducted onsite and how we ensure this data is reliable and accurate. You’ll gain an understanding of our regulatory responsibilities and the quality standards that we work to.
- This is a paid Summer Internship, with the salary being £23,177 (which works out at about £1,931 per month).
- What you’ll need
- You’ll be in the penultimate year of university, or maybe about to do a Masters. Either way, you’ll be on course for at least a 2:2 degree. And it goes without saying that you will be available for the full placement time: 12 weeks.
- You will be studying towards a degree in a relevant scientific or environmental discipline. A driving licence is preferable, but not essential.
- You’ll need to live within commuting distance of our office in Dundee.

- Final face-to-face interviews will happen during February. Where you can give us a good grilling too.
- If you accept a place on the programme, you’ll go through some pre-employment screening during the Spring, including a criminal record check.
- All our new Interns will start together at the beginning of June for a 12-week Summer Internship, finishing at the end of August. You’ll learn more about the organisation, meet our leaders, visit some of our operational sites, start making friends, and have a lot of fun.
