**Part Time Payroll Officer, Knaresborough, £12.94 per hour**

**20 hours working week.**

**Skills Required**:

- Previous payroll experience is essential.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Confident user of excel
- Flexible team player

**Key Duties**:

- Working closely with the outsourced provider
- Collate monthly contractual changes, new starter and leaver data.
- Maintain and review records of employee’s entitlements.
- Process absence data monthly
- Review the output reports and liaise with HR and the payroll provider.
- Submit all payroll related BACS payments for approval.
- Prepare and post monthly payroll journals.
- Complete payroll balance sheet reconciliations and resolve any unreconciled balances.
- Communicate with staff and resolve all queries relating to payroll.
- Submit pension information and be the main point of contact for the pension provider.
- Assist the Head of Finance in providing year-end payroll data to the external auditors.
- Assist the Head of Finance in preparing the annual staff cost budget.
- Maintain payroll and pension files in accordance with GDPR.
