Saga Robotics are currently hiring Robot Operators to complement our operations team in Kent, UK. This role offers you the opportunity to work with some of the most advanced agricultural robots in the world in real farming operations at a commercial level.

Successful applicants will be responsible for the delivery of robotic UV treatment on strawberry farms in Kent. Alongside the operations team they will be responsible for attending to robots to assist with troubleshooting and on the ground operational activities. No previous robotic experience is needed as full training will be given.

The UV treatment must be conducted in the hours after sunset so applicants must be willing to work night shifts. The UV treatment is delivered by a robot called Thorvald which is equipped with UVC lamps. The robot runs autonomously through the polytunnels, exposing the plants to UVC light. The Robot Operator's job is to follow the robot and monitor the performance of the robots.

**Responsibilities**

Closely monitor the robots during treatment and troubleshoot basic issues with the operations team.

Comply with the company's health and safety requirements & training

Communicate issues to the operations team effectively to identify, document and solve.

**Requirements**:

- Good written and verbal communication
- Problem solving skills
- Ability to work alone and as part of a team
- Be able to work to a flexible shift pattern including weekends.
- The right to work in the UK
- Means of transportation to get to different sites
- Interest in robotics, technology or agriculture
- Experience working in agricultural environments
- Good time management

**Job Types**: Part-time, Temporary contract
Contract length: 7 months

Pay: £13.00-£13.50 per hour
