**The Role**:
The Clinical Secretary - Surgical & Critical Care will provide comprehensive administrative support to a team of clinicians, enabling clinicians to operate effectively and efficiently. You ill work in accordance with standard operating procedures.

**What we'll need you to bring**:

- SVQ level 2 qualification (or equivalent experience) plus at least 2 years experience in healthcare administration or at least 3 years experience in a secretarial role
- Understanding of medical terminology
- Evidence of effective team working and dealing with change
- Evidence of strong communication skills with patients, clinicians and colleagues.
- Excellent organisational skills
- Evidence of strong competence with relevant IT systems
- Audio typing skills

**It would be great if you also have**:

- Medical Terminology Qualification

**Contract type**:
Permanent

Part Time

30 hours

**Please note** this is a part time post and the salary for this position will be pro-rata.

**Location and Working Pattern**:
This role will be based in Surgical & Critical Care within University Hospital Hairmyres.
