The Avenue Cinema, a new fully licensed luxury cinema experience coming soon to the heart of Belfast, is seeking to fill several positions for the role of Floor Supervisor.

Our floor supervisors will help ensure that a first-class customer experience is achieved during every visit. They will report to senior management and will be tasked with some specific duties to carry out during the course of their shift.

He/she will lead the floor service team, greeting and placing customers, expediting food and drink orders and organising the team across our 9-luxury screens and lounge seating area. You will work across the different departments to help create a professional and friendly environment, and assist with the ongoing training of the floor team to the company’s desired standards.

They will have an integral role in helping to create a fun, professional and safe place to work whilst meeting and surpassing the needs of every customer they greet.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Delivering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment with great attention to detail. Act as a host to greet and place customers suitably assess their needs and assign staff accordingly.
- To ensure that all relevant areas are set up & closed down daily as per training and guidelines, this includes ongoing training of the team to achieve and maintain this.
- To provide guidance and assistance to all floor and service staff where necessary, and to oversee completion of duties and daily checklists.
- Assisting with the day-to-day smooth running of the venue and to diligently complete all tasks as assigned by senior managers.
- Assisting with the operation of the projectors and sound for screens, being mindful of show start times and cost-effective practices.
- Responsibility to oversee the standards of cleanliness around and inside the screens, lounge and general public areas.
- To carry out daily opening and closing stock counts, inputting onto house system and managing/reporting any discrepancies or issues.
- Dealing one-to-one with customer enquiries or issues, assessing and reporting up the line to duty managers wherever necessary.
- To follow good practice with all matters relating to Health & Safety on the premises and pass this along to the whole team.
- Assisting with the operation of the projectors and sound for screens, being mindful of show start times and cost-effective practices.
- Ensuring that customer focus and service is at the forefront of every staff member’s work ethic, whilst helping to maintain a professional, fun and friendly workspace.
- Manage the placement and activities of the floor team, ensuring a high level of service is provided and that screen turnarounds are fulfilled swiftly and correctly.
- To oversee the correct use of all till and ordering systems, that Challenge 25 policy is followed and that cinema & licensing guidelines are adhered by everyone.
- To ensure that the floor team follow correct guidelines on uniform wear and that high standards of personal grooming and hygiene are met by all.
- To set or follow shift pre-opening plans for placement and duties of staff, observing shift timings and breaks etc in line with company procedures.
- To protect all company assets, whether stock, equipment or service items, and to instill this mentality across the whole of the Avenue team.
- Any other tasks and/or duties as directed by management.

**Essential Criteria**:

- Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar supervisory position.
- 2-3 years’ experience working in a busy bar/restaurant setting.
- Experienced in dealing with front of house systems for a contemporary POS system.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Desire to train and lead a team to deliver industry leading standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment whilst maintaining a focus on customer service and standards.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think proactively to get ahead of potential problems or issues.
- A good working knowledge of barista coffee service, product and presentation.
- Fully flexible to work days, evenings and weekend shifts.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £14,200.00-£19,800.00 per year
