**Pay Rates**:Day £12.45 per hour

Sat/Nights £16.80 per hour

Sun/Bank Hols £21.03 per hour

**Contract length**:Long Term**

**Working hours: Full Time**

**Monday - Sunday - 08:00 - 18:00 pro rota**

**What you’ll be responsible for**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Establish supportive and respectful relationships with individuals, carers, and colleagues.
- Act as a positive role model, promoting recovery-focused, non-judgmental support.
- Monitor individuals’ progress and report to appropriate staff.
- Participate in co-producing recovery plans and team meetings.
- Provide support in various settings, including homes, community settings, and mental health wards.
- Collaborate with stakeholders such as Housing, Employment, Education, and Primary Care.
- Comply with all NHS Trust policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure data quality.
- Engage in training, team-building activities, and regular supervision.

**Requirements**:

- Personal lived experience of mental health distress and accessing mental health services.
- Commitment to work towards formal peer support accredited training.
- Strong motivational, decision-making, and organizational skills.
- Ability to support others empathetically and effectively.
- Good communication skills and computer literacy.

The role will involve, but not be limited to you performing the above.

**You’ll have the following qualification/experience**:

**Qualification**:

- Direct experience of using mental health services
- Commitment to work towards formal peer support accredited training

**Experience**:

- Personal lived experience of mental health distress.
- Personal experience of accessing primary or secondary mental health service.
- Basic understanding of Peer Support
- Ability to support others in a Recovery Orientated way.
- Good motivational techniques and abilities.
- Clear effective planning and decision-making skills.

**At 2nd Gateway (Desirable on appointment):

**Qualification**:

- Training for lived experience practitioners
- Evidence of further related training.
- Health related qualification.
- Recovery college qualification
- *Depending on the Trust, you may require variable additional certification and skills.

**Experience**:

- Experience of working with peers and/ or clinicians using a co production methodology within a work setting.
- Experience of contributing to a research project or audit
- Experience of collaborative working alongside professionals in either a statutory or non-statutory mental health service.
- Experience of group work interventions.
