Our client is one of the UK’s leading manufacturers in the nutritional industry and have an annual turnover of circa £80m. The company employs over 350 people on site and has an excellent track record of growth and ambitious plans for future expansion.

The business has been operating for over 200 years and has built a strong reputation as a market leader with several premium brands in their portfolio and a large, diverse client base operating throughout Europe.

We currently have a role for an Accounts Assistant role based in Runcorn.

Working within the busy Finance department and reporting to the Financial Controller, the Accounts Assistant will perform the majority of the accounts payable tasks, whilst gaining valuable experience in the accounts environment.

**Key tasks include**:

- Full cycle Accounts Payable processes. (Computerised and manual systems).
- Processing purchase invoices (both stock and non-stock invoices).
- Complete weekly and ad hoc payment runs. (BACs and Bankline).
- Supplier statement reconciliations.
- Supplier payment allocations.
- Maintain supplier master files.
- Ad hoc projects within the Finance department.

**What We Are Looking For**:
The Accounts Assistant will ideally have experience in a similar role. This position would ideally suit someone who is currently in an Accounts Assistant position or with the ambition to develop their career in a fast-paced subsidiary of a FTSE 100 plc. Ideally, they will have the following personal attributes:

- Be experienced in accounts payable processes, ideally the full process cycle.
- Previous experience with Delivery and Goods Received Notes is an advantage but not necessary.
- Navision experience is an advantage but not necessary.
- Possess excellent communication (verbal and written) and relationship building skills (internal and external).
- Ability to work across Departments and with people at different levels.
- Have sound judgement and the ability to make good decisions.
- Have strong IT, numerical, problem-solving skills including query clearing and strong Excel skills. _(Further training is offered and provided)_
- Be an organised, fast worker with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Be able to work to strict deadlines and prioritise their workloads.
- Be self-motivated with a desire to always achieve high standards.

**Working hours**:

- Monday to Thursday (8.45am-5pm) Friday (8.45am-3.45pm).
- 39 hours per week.
