Butler Rose is working exclusively with a Swindon based business in their search for a Group Financial Director which will report into the global parent and be responsible for the UK Division.

With HQ based at Swindon, you will be working closely with the MD, and as part of a senior leadership team of four, you will be responsible for all financial aspects throughout the UK business with a clear multi-channel financial strategy, focused on commerciality,corporate and financial governance, forecasting and financial business analysis. With full reporting into Group Finance.

Leading a finance team, you will be responsible for financial due diligence, weekly/monthly reporting to budget, annual budget process, forecasting and analysis and margin improvement, in a rapidly growing but competitive market. The role combines businessleadership, financial and corporate management, and relationship management with group stakeholders.

Responsible for the finance division, you will work with an experienced team with considerable technical expertise to hand. Responsibilities to assist with innovative, cost savings and improved efficiencies across the business. Working closely with the MD,the leadership team and Group Finance, you will play an active role in relationship and financial account management.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Financial and corporate governance
- Results to budget, profitability, margin management and improvements
- Reports and analysis across sales channels, value bands, customer, and product sectors
- Contribute to the strategic direction of the company as a member of the senior leadership team
- Budget preparations and delivery, full commercial analysis
- Lead and execute UK group financial projects and merging of legal entities
- Manage all financial staff, and teams, motivating and upskilling across the board
- Agile and task driven and work to deadlines
- Manage all credit risk
- All statutory accounting, year-end audit delivery
- VAT, cashflow forecasting, P&L/ SG&A management and analysis
- Attend relevant functions, conferences, and meetings with group
- Maintain the highest of relationships internally, particularly with leadership team, group and sales divisions
- Successfully manage the finance team, managing KPIs and targets, managing individual performance, training, and development needs.
- Relationship management with the key stakeholders, customers, and dealers, with regular contact as appropriate
**Person Specification**
- Qualified ACCA, CIMA or ACA
- Excellent relationship building and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Good team player, working closely with the leadership team, and commanding respect throughout the company
- Experienced in budgeting, strategy, and implementation
- Excellent accounting technical knowledge
- Very effective interpersonal skills including mentoring, coaching, collaborating, and team building
- Strong analytical, planning, and organisational skills
- Excellent oral and written communications skills and experience interacting with both business and IT individuals at all levels
- Creative approach to problem-solving with the ability to focus on details while maintaining the "big picture" view
- Previous experience and success in a similar role desired
