Production Paperwork Operative

**JOB PURPOSE**:
To work as part of the Slicing team to help achieve the daily production plan whilst adhering to procedures, rules and processes set out by production management and other key functions.
To work in a safe and time effective manner in accordance with health and safety standards and ensuring food safety, hygiene and quality standards are achieved at all times.
**JOB CONTEXT**:
Reporting directly to the Line Leader, working alongside factory colleagues and key disciplines i.e., Planning, NPD, Health and Safety, Human Resources, Technical and Hygiene Departments.
You will be expected to demonstrate sound communication and organisational skills to achieve the planned production levels.

**Paperwork**:Complete, store / deliver relevant paperwork according to procedure to allow traceability etc.
**Procedures**:Working to strict manufacturing, health and safety and technical procedures to ensure standards and safe working is achieved.
**Production Plans**:Working in accordance to production plans to meet both internal and external orders
**OBJECTIVES**:
- To ensure that the safety, quality and legality of the products are achieved and maintained to the highest standards at all times.
- To assist Area Supervisor/Area Leaders in ensuring the smooth running of the day - to - day operations in order to fulfil business/ department needs and targets.
- To maintain product safety and quality standards.
**KEY ACTIVITIES**:
- Under the guidance of Area Supervisor/ Team Leader, ensure that each product specification is followed, and anomalies are reported immediately.
- To monitor a critical control point (CCP) in line with the relevant FSP training.
- To adhere to rules and regulations and good practices with regard to health and safety, food hygiene and quality standards.
- To ensure that any production targets set by the Area Supervisor/ Team Leader are met; or if this is not possible, shortfalls are reported to the relevant person in a timely manner.
- To maintain a high-quality products focusing on increasing yield and reducing wastage.
- To maintain a clean and tidy area (work, changing room, canteen etc), meeting both safety and hygiene regulations of the site.
- To wear the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment at all times within the Production Area.
- Carry out training commensurate with the area including regular refresher/update training as and when required.
- To report any equipment defects immediately to the Area Supervisor/Team Leader.
- To behave in a safe and appropriate manner at all times.
- To assist during internal/ external audits as required.
- Adhere to all Company Rules and Policies and fully comply with all health and safety requirements.
- To maintain high levels of work performance including attendance, timekeeping etc.

- Take reasonable care for your own and other's health and safety while at work and to Co-operate with your employer on health and safety matters.
- Anything provided in the interests of health, safety or welfare must not be intentionally or recklessly interfered with or misused.
- Responsible for completion and documentation of line start up safety checks to include machinery, lighting, flooring, fire escape routes, housekeeping standards.
- Responsible for monitoring & reviewing staff behaviours, challenging unsafe behaviours / practices and correcting them.
- Responsible to ensure compliance to company policies, procedures, site rules and information and instruction given by your employer.
- To respect and honour the sentiment of the Cranswick ethical policies and codes of conduct, when interacting with your colleagues at all times.
- To work in an Environmental and Energy efficient manner and to respect and honour the sentiment of the Cranswick Environmental and Energy policies and Second Nature principles.
- Where there are any Environmental Permit conditions in place, to ensure that where you have direct influence on these areas, then these are adhered to within the required limits.
- To work in partnership with the Senior Management team on site to be part of the Culture of the site which drives Food Safety, H&S, Ethical, Environmental and Energy behaviours.
