Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our in-store team as a Retail Sales and Service Assistant. You will be responsible for working in our attractive Malton store, providing exceptional customer service, explaining our products to customers, aligning products with their needs and fulfilling product sales. You will also be responsible for the attractive presentation of products and the overall store environment. You will be encouraged to bring forward ideas and organise events for customers, including product demonstrations, workshops and product focus events. Supporting social media and other communications media to promote the store are also within the remit of the role. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.

**Responsibilities**:

- Greet customers, explain our products' benefits, our company ethos and assist customers in selecting products which meet their needs
- Develop, organise, promote and run customer events in-store
- Promote the store locally via social media, local networks and other media
- Accurately and efficiently operate the EPos, cards and appointments/booking systems in-store.
- Create an attractive and welcoming environment in-store
- Work effectively as part of the retail team and more widely with the Malton-based manufacturing team
- Meet sales targets and upsell additional services or products to customers as appropriate
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and concerns in a professional manner

Qualifications:

- A passion for ethical, sustainable skincare, beauty and wellness products
- A proven ability to generate sales through service
- Previous experience in a customer facing, sales and service focused, retail environment
- Strong communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills
- Excellent team player able to relate to a diversity of other team members and customers in an appropriate, empathetic and professional way
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Proficient at operating an EPos system, including taking cash and card payments
