**Position Summary**:
As a locum Senior House Officer (SHO) within our NHS trust, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality patient care across a range of medical specialties. This position offers the opportunity to work in dynamic clinical environments, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care to patients.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assess, diagnose, and initiate treatment plans for patients presenting in the designated specialty area.
- Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including medical histories, physical examinations, and diagnostic tests as required.
- Participate in the management of acute and chronic medical conditions, ensuring adherence to clinical guidelines and best practices.
- Assist in emergency situations, including resuscitation efforts and trauma management in the A&E setting.
- Collaborate with consultants, registrars, nurses, and allied healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and optimize outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including electronic documentation systems utilized within the trust.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and caregivers, providing clear explanations of diagnoses, treatment options, and potential risks.
- Attend and actively contribute to departmental meetings, case presentations, and educational sessions as required.
- Adhere to trust policies, protocols, and standards of practice, promoting a culture of patient safety and quality improvement.

**Qualifications and Requirements**:

- Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) and eligibility for inclusion on the GMC Specialist Register, or in the process of obtaining full registration (PLAB qualified).
- Completion of Foundation Year 1 (FY1) and Foundation Year 2 (FY2) training or equivalent.
- Demonstrated experience and competence in the designated specialty area, with specific training and/or rotations in A&E, Psychiatry, Medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics, or Pediatrics.
- Excellent clinical skills, including proficiency in history taking, physical examination, and interpretation of diagnostic tests.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing medical education.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays as required.

Pay: £40.00-£50.00 per hour
