Job Summary
To be responsible for providing appropriate support to the business through planning, forecasting and reporting including the flow of financial information to the business. Be a key member of the finance function.
Accountabilities
- Assisting with the production of the monthly management accounts, including extensive analysis, accruals, prepayments, depreciation and journal adjustments
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Prepare and distribute KPI reports
- Prepare and distribute monthly overhead reports to the Heads of Department working with them to understand their costs
- Attend regular departmental meetings to offer financial guidance where appropriate
- Support business projects with the appropriate financial analysis
- Preparation of sales analysis
- Capital Expenditure project evaluation
- Assist with forecasts and annual budget preparation
- Prepare schedules and supply required information for year-end audit
- Be a pivotal member of the finance function
- Actively participate in Finance tasks within and external to the day to day

- Maintain good housekeeping standards and improve where necessary

Requirement Essential Desirable
Qualifications - On the job experience of a similar account’s role - AAT Qualified / Part Qualified/ Working towards ACCA / CIMA
Experience and
Knowledge - Working in a manufacturing environment - Accounting in an ERP environment - Raw material, WIP and finished good stock valuation and management - Evaluation of product costings/ margins - Producing and using spreadsheets including complex formulas - Good understanding of accounting processes and procedures, financial reporting and costing - Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook - Working in an SME environment - Use of bill of materials - Product costing - Experience of using Access Supply Chain ERP software - Budgeting - Forecasting - Month end processes
