Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Manager to join our team at Paula Berwick T/A Northants Recruit. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for managing the company's financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all relevant regulations.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage the sales ledger, including invoicing, statements, and credit management.
  • Oversee the creditors ledger and subcontractors ledger, including purchase invoice processing, reconciliations, and payments.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and manage credit cards and expenses.
  • Collect and manage debt, as well as import and export declarations.
  • Provide financial data for monthly reporting and maintain all financial records.
  • Offer holiday cover to other team members and provide daily management of the office.
  • Perform other administrative duties as required.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Financial Controller or in a similar role.
  • Proficient in using accounting software (Sage).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

About the Role:

This position will have overall responsibility for managing the maintenance of the company's books of prime entry, including cash receipts and payments, sales ledger and purchase ledger. The job holder will work with other members of the administration team to ensure that all entries are recorded accurately and in a timely manner, and that the company is compliant with VAT, PAYE, CIS and C&E requirements.

Working Hours:

Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm.
