Join us at NatWest Markets as a Regulatory Remediation Lead
- This is your chance to play a fundamental role ensuring our compliance with ongoing surveillance and independent compliance oversight
- Reporting directly to our CEO, you’ll lead and manage regulatory remediation activity for NatWest Markets, particularly the change of NatWest Markets N.V. status to a significant institution supervised by the European Central Bank (ECB)
- It’s an opportunity to develop your leadership capability, benefit from exposure to senior stakeholders both externally and across NatWest Group

**What you'll do**:
As our Regulatory Remediation Lead, you’ll be liaising with a range of stakeholders to gather metrics and data that support the delivery of NatWest Markets’ reporting obligations to our regulators.

You’ll provide expert support, advice, MI and escalation to leaders across the business on the expectations and requirements set out by the European Central Bank (ECB) and European Banking Authority (EBA), and remediation, monitoring and regulatory surveillance matters. You’ll also engage regulators at the ECB on monitoring requirements to ensure our compliance and make sure that our reporting obligations are met.

Your top priorities will include:

- Supporting ExCo’s engagement with regulators
- Leading a large virtual team
- Partnering with our UK-based Regulatory Remediation Lead
- Delivering solutions that adhere to our remediation principles
- Leading remediation committees and preparing briefings
- Evolving our assurance, risk and control approaches and mechanisms
- Promoting a strong control environment and positive risk culture
- Developing and executing our long-term remediation strategy

**The skills you'll need**:
To thrive in this role, you’ll need ample knowledge and experience of providing regulatory and technical support and advice to senior stakeholders, particularly for ECB and EBA expectations and requirements.

You’ll also demonstrate:

- Experience in a compliance or conduct risk related discipline
- A successful track record engaging with senior stakeholders from regulatory bodies like the ECB and De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB)
- Senior stakeholder and conflict management experience
- Change and project management experience
- Significant experience in investment banking across multiple disciplines
- A strong understanding of trading businesses, market infrastructure, developments and industry best standards
- The ability to analyse, understand and draw conclusions from a range of sources and information
