Manchester, United Kingdom Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust Full time

We are looking for a highly motivated and innovative Clinical Support Worker to join our team at the Bury Dermatology ICAT.

We offer a range of services as a part of Salford Care Organisation's (SCO) Dermatology Service, including Skin Cancer services, dermatological surgery, eczema and psoriasis treatments, Acne clinics, and UVB.

Unfortunately, this role does not meet the criteria required to qualify for sponsorship.

You will be a motivated team player with a flexible attitude and be able to demonstrate commitment to your own professional development. You will have an interest in Dermatology, ideally with experience in the setting.

You will be required to work your hours flexibly, covering our service which runs Mon-Fri 8am-7pm, with possible weekend work. Shifts reflect clinical activity and service demands, as per SCO roster policy. Shifts are usually 4 or 8 hours long (8.30am-5pm, 8.30am-12.30pm or 1-5pm) but alter as per service needs.

Your job role will involve working in all the above areas, and will include chaperoning in clinics, supporting both Consultants and Specialist Nurses, assisting in theatre, maintaining stock levels and cleaning the department to promote infection prevention.

Whilst your main work base is at Radcliffe, you will be expected to work across sites when required.

Every year Salford cares for approximately 13,000 new outpatients with a further 26,000 follow up appointments. We aim to provide the highest achievable standards of care as a part of this great team.

Working as a member of our Multi-Disciplinary Team you will be expected to chaperone in our Skin Cancer and general Dermatology clinics, circulate/ run in theatre, assist in Infection Prevention, and provide support to other colleagues to ensure the smooth running of the department.

The Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust (NCA) provides hospital and integrated health and social care services to over one million people living across Greater Manchester. Our 20,000 colleagues care for people in hospital and in the community, working across Bury, Rochdale, Oldham and Salford, to save and improve lives.

As a large NHS trust we are committed to enhancing the health of our local population by delivering consistently high standards of care and working closely with local authorities and key partners. We believe in our power and potential to make a difference and we’re always looking for people who demonstrate our three core values - care, appreciate and inspire - to join our team.

In return, we can offer you a job role with purpose and flexibility. The size and scale of the NCA means we can provide more challenge and opportunities so your career can always be moving in the right direction. By joining us you can also access a competitive benefits package, including, a fantastic annual leave allowance, flexible working opportunities and protected hours for health and wellbeing activities, helping you to achieve more personal downtime and a better work-life balance.
