**Company Overview**:
A leading Visual Effects design agency based in London has a reputation for delivering high-quality VFX solutions for a diverse range of projects in film, television, advertising, and other creative media. They value innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement, and are looking for a talented System Administrator to join their inspirational team.

**Position Overview**:
As a System Administrator, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and optimising the IT infrastructure, ensuring smooth operations for their creative teams. You will have a hybrid work arrangement, splitting your time between working remotely and in the London office.

**Responsibilities**:

- Manage and maintain Linux and Windows-based systems, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations to enhance efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration of software, hardware, and network solutions.
- Administer and support user accounts, permissions, and access rights across various platforms.
- Implement security measures, including system backups, firewalls, and anti-virus software.
- Maintain and update documentation related to system configurations and procedures.
- Provide technical support and resolve issues for end-users in a timely manner.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in the VFX industry to make informed recommendations.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Ideally 4 years + experience as a System Administrator, preferably in a Linux and Windows environment.
- Proficient in Linux server administration, including command-line interface (CLI) and scripting
- Good experience with Python
- Familiarity with Windows Server administration and Active Directory.
- Knowledge of networking concepts, protocols, and services (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
- Previous experience in the VFX industry is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Proactive mindset with a strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks.
