- **OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE ROLE**:

- Support the company's adherence to regulatory requirements and expectations specifically with regard to the Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process and support the regional view of ICAAPs in EMEA.
- Support the development and delivery of the scenario stress tests working with colleagues across the firm
- Support the development of the Risk Appetite Framework, comprising risk appetite statements, ongoing monitoring of risk profile against appetite and maintenance of the company's Risk Register
- Pursue the objectives of the department by carrying out the personal objectives agreed from time-to-time with the Chief Risk Officer.

**. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Support Development, with first line business owners and second line risk SMEs, of the Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process for the Securities entities in EMEA ensuring that all material risks are adequately capitalised and documented in the form of Board approved documents annually and reassessed quarterly.
- Support the approval processes and support regulatory reviews of the above documents, leading working groups and steering committees to demonstrate oversight and challenge by appropriate management.
- Work with MUFG across EMEA and internationally to pursue best practice developments for risk appetite and ICAAPs and pursue efficient working practices for the group as a whole.
- Support and maintain the framework and methodology for the full suite of scenario stress tests in EMEA including implementing improvements to stress testing approaches, working with teams across Risk, Finance and Technology
- Support the development and maintenance of the comprehensive risk appetite framework including regional and applicable entity level statements in EMEA and the international securities business and oversight of the timely escalations in line with the framework
- Lead the development and maintenance of a comprehensive international securities and EMEA risk inventory/risk register to form the basis of risk appetite and risk control assessments.
- Support the Resilience team as a whole including in relation to responsibilities for strategic risk, stress testing and climate change scenario analysis.
- Support the broader ERM and risk teams on projects as they arise.
- Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders within EMEA, International and Tokyo HQ and support the wider EMEA Network and responsibilities for MUS(EU) under the SLA
- Support the CRO in the execution of their responsibilities under the Senior Manager's Regime. For ERM, maintain records to demonstrate "reasonable steps" have been taken to a) ensure the function is effectively controlled, b) that MUFG complies with relevant regulatory requirements and that c) onward delegation is appropriate.
- Ensure timely remediation of audit points.
- Demonstrate due care and diligence in the execution of your responsibilities
- Support the continued integration of Bank and Securities with the One MUFG approach
- Promote inclusion and diversity across all aspects

**PERFORMANCE AND DUTIES**

The role holder will be assessed in accordance with their employing entity's performance framework and process with relevant input obtained from the dual hatting entity as relevant.
