An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Weekend Cook / Chef to join our friendly and dedicated team.

Key Responsibilities:

- To provide wholesome cooking to meet individual residents’ needs.
- To provide the nutritional requirements of individual residents.
- Overall day to day management of the kitchen.
- Preparation of menus in conjunction with the head cook and diet sheets in consultation with the Home Manager.
- Ordering of food and other goods and implementation of stock control in the absence of the head cook. Food orders will be presented to Home Manager for approval. Stock control will be carried out weekly.
- Accurate record keeping as necessary.
- Budgetary controls.
- Preparing and cooking of all foods.
- Washing up duties as required.
- Ensuring that the hygiene standards within the kitchen meet Local Environment Health Department requirements, this includes labelling of samples.
- Ensure the well-being and safe keeping of all equipment and utensils.
- Any other duties as required.
