**About the role.**
As the Administrator at PA Media Academy, you'll be the linchpin ensuring smooth exam processes and student administration.
From coordinating exams, managing relationships with organisations like the National Council for the Training of Journalists, to overseeing apprentice onboarding and facility management, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring everything runs seamlessly.
Your meticulous attention to detail and proactive approach will guarantee a positive experience for both students and staff, driving the success of our training programs.
**Key Responsibilities**
Exams
- Running all PA Media Academy exams, including those held remotely, briefing invigilators, and liaising with colleagues in facilities and IT to ensure rooms and technology are ready.
- Own the administrative relationship with the National Council for the Training for Journalists, including onboarding NCTJ Diploma students, booking exams, and sending exam reports.
- Ensure exam dates and times are communicated early and effectively to trainers and product owners, and that students are well briefed and clear about procedure.
- Track exam results as they are released, communicating with Programme Leaders and delegates, and ensuring results are tracked.
Student and Apprenticeship administration
- Well organised operational onboarding for NCTJ delegates with clear communication resulting in a positive first experience.
- Build and maintain contact and tracking sheets for students and apprentices.
- Assist Apprentice Programme Leaders with assessments and onboarding of apprentices.
- Build strong proficiency in BUD apprenticeship management information software to ensure compliance with ESFA funding rules. Support the Apprenticeship Training Manager and Apprenticeship Programme Leaders in growing BUD knowledge.
- Own the relationship with BUD, solving issues and growing usability of software.
- Build strong proficiency in Moodle digital learning environment, ensuring documents are organised and deleted as necessary, and training staff receive regular updates in usability.
Facilities
- Own the room-booking process for the Cannon Street centre.
- Own the booking and maintenance process for PA Media Academy equipment.
**Who you are.**
You should possess good MS Office skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, demonstrating a proven ability to learn new technology and adapt to new ways of working.
Great teamworking skills and a love of collaborating with other motivated individuals are essential, as well as confidence and good interpersonal skills.
Additionally, you should exhibit curiosity, a desire to progress, and a commitment to continuous learning. You will also demonstrate the ability to own projects and work unsupervised when required.
