**Job Details**

Hours worked out with 7am-8pm will be paid at basic rate plus 1/3 hourly rate. Sleep in payments are paid at National Living wage rate. 32 paid annual leave days per year rising to 37 days after 5 years service.

Promoting social inclusion by working with people to maximise their personal independence, health and wellbeing to access opportunities in their local communities. Enabling people to maximise their independence in relation to their personal and social needs in accordance with National Care Standards. This role includes day shifts, late shifts, sleepovers and nightshifts, all applicants must be able to do all shift patterns. This role may also require some lone working. A Social Care Worker is required to take on Key Worker role and take a lead role in creating and updating Personal Centred Support Plans. There is also an expectation that the Social Care Worker will schedule, chair, minute and organise team meetings.

**The Person**

Must have or be willing to achieve in the first period of registration, the Social Services and Healthcare SCQF level 7 (equivalent to SVQ3) or equivalent to meet Scottish Social Services Council registration.

Flexibility will be required in the way the days/hours are worked for each post dependent on the needs of service users.

You are required to register with Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) within 6 months of taking up employment in this role and to complete the required Post Registration Training and Learning (PRTL) over the first registration period.

**Before confirming your appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme.**

**You will save money on your SSSC fees as these will now be paid for all roles and grades by the Scottish Government.**
