PLC group experiencing attractive growth and expansion (UK and overseas) have an exciting new role for a CIMA studying Commercial Accountant / Analyst. Your role sits outside of core finance in a commercially focused team

You won’t be bogged down with tax computation, balance sheet reconciliations or journalsthis role is focused on insightful MI, added value reporting and business partnering.

The business has an incredible pipeline of new opportunities, bids and large scale tenders. There is a huge thirst for additional information --- you’ll be drilling down into project profitability, price modelling, variances, forecasts, new market penetration,scenario models and planning

You’ll be at the front end of the business - working with the Commercial Finance Manager to provide vital insights which underpin key tactical and strategic decision making.

You need:

- To be a CIMA studier with strong analytical skills.
- Excellent analytical skills and a high degree of competence using Excel.
- Great communication - you need to be confident when presenting / summarizing financial info for a non finance audience (including senior manager / director level).
- To be someone who will enjoy getting under the skin of the business - it’s a project led group and each project is different - you need to be someone who will proactively get to grips with how money is made, how margin is impacted etc.
- A natural interest in business.
- A track record of success in either management accounting or commercial analysis.

It would suit someone with core accounting skills but looking to move into commercial / financial analysis rather than financial control.
