Caretaker/maintenance and Projects Co-ordinator

**About Us**: New Brighton Day Nursery is a Community Interest Company and award winning nursery. Our site includes two gardens, 5 children's rooms, 35 staff, an allotment area, minibus for trips and links with Mount Primary School. We are committed to delivering the highest quality childcare services and are now seeking a dedicated, skilled caretaker and project co-ordinator to join our fantastic team - supporting both site maintenance, periodic projects and events (such as Xmas Grotto, Art Exhibition, Summer Garden Party), development and maintenance of children's resources. Skills with working with wood, natural materials and creativity an asset.

**Key Responsibilities**:
- Ensure the cleanliness and hygiene of the nursery premises.
- Maintain outdoor play areas, gardens, and equipment.
- Oversee security and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with staff to ensure a safe and nurturing environment for children.
- Lead and participate in creative projects around the nursery, such as building a mud kitchen, painting, and creating new play areas or toys.
- Source materials and tools needed for projects, ensuring a well-equipped environment.
- Collaborate with staff to plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate projects for children.
**Qualifications and Requirements**:
- Previous experience in a facilities management or similar role is preferred.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A commitment to creating a safe and welcoming environment for children.
- Experience with creative projects, DIY, or construction work is a plus.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: From £13.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24 - 32 per week
