**About the role**:
We are looking for a highly motivated, efficient and proactive Packaging and EPR Specialist. You will play an integral role in ensuring legal compliance for all packaging EPR in the UK, Ireland and international countries. You will also be responsible for advising on a range of EPR legislation and emerging responsible sourcing topics and their potential sustainability impact. **Responsibilities**:
**To ensure Lipsy and subsidiaries operates as a responsible retailer you will manage the compliance and reporting for**:

- UK (devolved administrations), European and international legislation specifically in relation to
- Packaging EPR
- UK HMRC Plastic Packaging Tax and international Plastic Packaging Tax
- UK Carrier Bag Regulations
- Single Use Plastics
- Deposit Return Schemes

**Legislation Awareness and Implementation**
- Identify, be aware and informed of new country legislation and changes to current legislation before coming into force; to work with the relevant departments to ensure implementation and compliance within the relevant timescales
- Anticipate and communicate emerging threats and opportunities through external awareness by the development of strong internal and external networks
- Provide technical support when gathering packaging data through technical guidelines and manuals
- Provide training and education to improve understanding and technical advice and guidance to the business
- Audit internal systems used and maintained by other departments to ensure data accuracy

**Responsible business**
- Undertake regular benchmarking and gap analysis with competitors in the market
- Develop and maintain good knowledge and understanding of product ranges and business activities
- Collation, analysis and reporting of data to meet both legislative and corporate reporting requirements
- Work closely with internal teams to keep up to date with new product development opportunities which require coordinated management to ensure delivery

**Your Talent..**
- Experience in a data collection / auditing role
- Experience in EPR audits and working with external authorities as well as a strong interest in ERP
- Experience within a fast paced business (ideally retail)
- Excellent analytical skills - able to quickly identify root cause and solutions
- Capability to see and realise potential improvements and identify cost savings
- High level of proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Excellent communication both written and verbal
- Exceptional organisational skills and interpersonal skills
- Strong project management and implementation skills
- Able to work alone but enjoying to work in a team in different projects
- Amiable, positive, professional, approachable and polite at all times
