**Job Introduction**

We are seeking an individual to work at our UKAS accredited Materials testing Lab for providing support for maintenance and calibration of all equipment across the three locations for SCS project.

You will co-ordinate with the materials team to ensure all equipment is calibrated on time and correct data is input onto the system and that any errors are captured. You will be using the existing Excel and system documents on the shared drive.

**Role Responsibility**
- Help maintain registers for equipment and purchasing.
- Maintaining of registers (equipment / purchasing / PAT testing / faults), data entry
- Meet any needs of laboratory managers for supplying equipment and test material.
- Entering of worksheets and documents for laboratory systems
- Take measurements of basic equipment as part of the program.
- Supply new equipment numbers and log details of instruments.
- Help with testing duties when equipment checks are complete to help provide cover as required.
- Filing and organizing documents as required.
- Understand the Client and Joint Venture Partners' Environment and Sustainability Policies, Processes and statutory requirements as they affect the company's operations and ensure that the requirements, as applicable within their discipline, are implementedon the project.
- Along with following all policies and processes required by the project specifically, you will be require to carry out your duties in accordance with ISO IEC 17025, standard practice for all our test laboratories.
- Strong IT background
- Good eye for detail
- Communicate effectively and proactively
- Ability to self-organize - work as team and alone, flexible attitude - ‘can do’ adapt to change constantly. Good time management skills.
- Previous laboratory experience in construction materials
- Understanding of systems and requirements of processes - purchasing - quality
- Previous administration skills desirable
- Good written skills and literacy
- Specific excel and Microsoft packages
- Previous Knowledge of BS EN ISO-IEC 17025 preferred.

The Skanska | Costain | STRABAG (SCS JV) is delivering the HS2 London Tunnels Contract. Scope of works includes twin-bored tunnels (TBM), SCL tunnels, shaft sinking, bridge demolition and reconstruction, services diversions, earthworks and the constructionof site compounds.
