Activities of the team/department that this role will operate in;
Eurovia Roadstone are seeking an Asphalt Quality Technician to test and monitor the results of the asphalt as it’s produced and distributed from the plant at Dagenham.
Experience is not necessary as we can provide full training, but we are looking for someone with excellent numerical ability, exceptional attention to detail with an analytical, inquisitive and methodical approach, with a willingness to learn.

The environment is a large production facility operating 24/7. It’s dusty, noisy, quite physically demanding and requires some very early starts and late finishes but it’s a fascinating and responsible job working with a friendly and dedicated team.

Purpose of the role and your responsibilities;
• Ensure the sampling and testing of all aggregate, sands, incoming raw materials and bituminous materials and bitumen are carried out at the required frequency
• Assist with the monitoring of analysis and trends following testing of materials and finished products to ensure appropriate preventative action has been taken to ensure quality and technical performance is maintained
• Report all instances of product, test rate failure and non-conformities to technical management
• Provide technical advice and support to other internal departments as and when required and to customers within set guidelines
• Input data and operate the laboratory computer database system
• Carry out preliminary complaint investigations
• Ensure the laboratory environment and test equipment is well maintained and within calibration
