The Club

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the team at Merrist Wood Golf Club and help take the club on it’s next journey. Merrist Wood has enjoyed a good reputation amongst local golfers and is a popular course to play due to its design and location. Under recent new ownership the club is starting out on its next chapter in life to become one of the country’s premier Pay and Play venues to rival some of the greatest clubs. We are looking for the right person to join the team and take the club through the transition. This is a very exciting project and a great opportunity for you to become involved at the very beginning.

You will preferably be an experienced green keeper ready to step into your new role. You will be working in a highly enthusiastic team reporting to the course manager and be involved in the day to day set up and presentation of the golf course to produce a quality golf course.
- Enthusiastic, flexible and good communication skills
- Career minded person who wants to progress in the greenkeeping industry
- Greenkeeping experience - use of machines, irrigation, knowledge of machinary desirable
- NVQ Level 2 in Sports turf or equivalent desirable
- PA1 PA2 PA6 desirable
- Ability to be part of a small team on day to day greenkeeping activities and also small projects
