Wentworth Club is one of the world’s finest private members Golf and Country Clubs, famous for its outstanding three Championship golf courses, in addition to a luxury Tennis & Health Club. The Club is surrounded and entwined within the Wentworth Estate, one of the most prestigious private estates in the London suburbs where many of the world’s premier golfers have their home.

The Irrigation Assistant will maintains and repairs irrigation system on all Wentworth Golf Courses, driving ranges and any other outdoor irrigation systems associated with Wentworth Club.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- General upkeep: ensuring the irrigation system is always working optimally.
- Plant and Machinery: You will be expected to have complete knowledge of the plant machinery used for specific tasks and ensure that they are utilised in the correct manner. This includes complying with the Health and Safety regulations at all times whilst in operation along with ensuring machinery is washed down, greased, oiled and stored after operation. To report breakdowns and advise your Head Greenkeeper of requirements to run the site effectively to an expected high standard.
- Standards: To ensure all areas are properly laid out and prepared for members and visitors to the Club. A very high standard of presentation is required at all times.

**General Responsibilities**:
As Irrigation assistant you will be responsible for:

- Turns irrigation systems on and off as designated.
- Operates timers, clocks, and controls for sprinklers.
- May assist in various maintenance activities as required.
- Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge and awareness of current golf course irrigation products available to the UK market.
- Maintaining full working knowledge of all SOP’s required of your role always.
- Ensuring you attend and participate in all training sessions required of your role including company and technical training.
- Monitoring and maintaining health, safety, and security in the workplace always
- Maintaining a sound and up-to-date understanding of water management
- Able to identify Sports turn grasses, Plants and Trees
- Undertaking routine machine maintenance
- Preparing machinery for use
- Preparing machinery for storage
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required**
- Ability to perform irrigation tasks such as operate timers, clocks, and controls for sprinklers.
- Knowledge of manual and/or computerized irrigation systems.
- Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.
