**Jewson Market Harborough**, a leading building materials distributor, is on the hunt for a **Yard Assistant **who's as passionate about great service as we are.

This is a varied role focussing on customer service in our busy yard and at our trade counter, so great if you enjoy a bit of outdoor working and interaction with customers. No two days will be the same

- **Hours**:_7.30am-5.00pm Monday to Friday and every other Saturday 8am-12pm_
- **Location**:_Rockingham Road, Riverside, Market Harborough LE16 7PT_
- **Key Responsibilities**_
- Welcome customers to the branch and take an active interest in their projects
- Get to know our product lines so you can offer advice and help to customers, making the most of all customer interactions in line with our Jewson Values
- Assist customers at the Trade Counter, process payments, order stock, update customer accounts and provide the best service possible to our loyal customers
- Help to prepare customer orders, load and unload customer and supplier vehicles using a Forklift Truck to minimise manual handling (training will be provided)
- Check incoming deliveries and report missing or damaged products
- Maintain stock levels in both the shop and yard areas, carrying out regular stock counts
- Keep the branch looking clean and tidy, to make a great first impression on our customers
- Make Health & Safety a priority and demonstrate how you can keep yourself and others safe at work

- **Required Skills and Experience**_
- Previous industry experience preferred but not essential
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise work accordingly
- Strong communication skills
- Confident working both indoors and outdoors and a health and safety focus
- Comfortable in a role involving extensive manual handling of bulky items
- A driving license would be a benefit for this role, as there may be some relief delivery driving
