Hours of Work - **Full time in a permanent position**

**Role Specification**

The role is based in Normanton, the northern hub for **evo**. This is the main site for VOW, Banner, and some of the central services. The Head of Product Marketing is expected to be based there along with most of the Product Marketing team. However, the employee will be required to travel to other Group locations to work alongside colleagues and for external meetings as appropriate. This is a hybrid role (3 days in the office) that includes the ability to work at home during each week. This is a senior leadership role and reports into the Group Buying Director.

**WHAT WILL I BE DOING?**

**Role Objective**

The Head of Product Marketing will be responsible for product marketing across the **evo** Group. As Head of Product Marketing, they will deliver major brand campaigns and category specific campaigns to all the channels within the Group. They will deliver an ROI on the existing product marketing budget and growth the budget through supplier engagement. In addition, they will develop private label brand messages for the Group and organise key communications to the supplier base. They will be responsible for managing the activities of the Product Marketing Team. They will work closely with the channel corporate marketing teams that develop the marketing vehicles within each channel. Responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:

- Development of a product marketing strategy, backed by supplier funding, to support all sales channels across the business by category, ensuring such plans are aligned to the category channel objectives.
- They will lead the planning and execution of the annual evo Live supplier exhibition event (the major multi-day industry exhibition).
- Alongside the Product Management team translate the strategy into practical and achievable product marketing plans, implemented on time and in budget.
- To deliver innovative marketing activity utilising all available marketing tools and techniques both on and offline
- Own and manage the product marketing P&L, including maximising marketing specific supplier income, ensuring we invest in profitable activity across all sales channels and drive increasing incremental revenue from our supplier partners.
- Own the lifecycle of each product marketing campaign including the justification of any income and the creation and sharing of returns on investment.
- Work with Channel Marketing to exploit all channel specific product marketing opportunities.
- Work with Channel Marketing to develop appropriate marketing tools and techniques specific to that channel.
- Support the private label strategy and incorporate activities which will drive end user awareness and demand.
- Build strong relationships and rapport with key personnel, interfacing at different levels with key customer and supplier contacts.
- They will also take responsibility to ensure marketing actions and external activity is compliant with current legislation - e.g., GDPR and competition rules.
- Effectively manage a team of product marketing executives with different experience levels and skill sets ensuring development and career progression. A key element of this is motivation and the communication of departmental and Group goals.
- The Head of Product Marketing will need to manage stakeholder requirements and expectations.
- Prioritise activity that presents the greatest influence, both real and potential, on the profitability of **evo**.

It supports a network of reseller partners, alongside Corporates, Public Sector and SME companies in the UK and Ireland, via the trading entities of VOW and Banner. All of these services are underpinned by Truline, our 350-vehicle transport organisation.
