The Nelson Trust is a registered charity providing residential and community-based treatment, care, and support for people with drug and alcohol dependencies, as well as those with complex psychological and social needs and those at risk of offending. The charity operates across the South West; Bristol, Gloucester, Wiltshire, and Somerset, and more recently has set up services in Wales. We are looking for someone who shares our values, understands and aligns with our mission, and who can raise the profile of the Trust’s work through impactful communications across a range of media.

This is a lead role within a small, communications team that is always busy. It’s a varied role, from writing press releases, to creating content, supporting events with marketing and comms and connecting with people online. Your main focus will be overseeing the implementation and delivery of the Trust’s communication strategy ensuring our communications are both influential and informative for the full range of our stakeholders internal and external.

You will help to shape the direction of the Trust’s marketing and communications, through the leadership of a steering group, Communications Champions, volunteers, and internships. You will work alongside delivery teams to ensure that The Nelson Trust brand is consistent, and attracts and retains support. You will further the Trust’s communications to move supporters in the direction of calls to action in an engaging and memorable way to maximise impact and influence.

This is a hybrid role, the office base can be in one of our women's centres in Bristol, Gloucestershire, Swindon or Somerset. (Hybrid office/WFH).

The Nelson Trust is committed to safeguarding, the successful applicant will be required to undergo an enhanced Children & Adults DBS check.

**Salary**: £28,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
