**Maintenance Joiner - £27,000 - £30,000 (DOE) + Excellent Benefits**
**The Company**:
Our client is a well-established manufacturer based in Blackburn with a highly respectful and collaborative culture. They are an established leader in their marketplace, offering a huge variety of products. Due to continued growth, they are looking to add a Maintenance Joiner to their site in Blackburn.
**The Role**:
Working Monday-Friday, 7.00am-4.00pm, the daily role of the Maintenance Joiner is to work alongside a small building maintenance team to maintain and improve the manufacturing sites, these works will cover items from minor office refurbishments, exterior maintenance and large CapEx based projects where you will be required to work alongside various contractors and tradesmen to complete work to a high standard.
The main responsibilities of the Maintenance Joiner will include:
- Carrying out all types of repair and maintenance work in a multi-skilled environment allied to the joinery trade discipline.
- Completing work to a high standard of quality and output.
- Liaising with other team members as necessary for the efficient coordination of work activities.
- Promptly completing records of all completed works, issues, material requests, follow on or any other field on the PDA/other directed format.
- Inspecting items of disrepair - assess options for repair or replacement and remedy disrepair in the most appropriate manner.
- Make good, disturbed structures/finishes of a minor nature and report on further works by other trades if required.
- Assess, plan, measure up and order, through management, all materials required for works.
**What We Are Looking For**:
We are looking for a self-motivated Maintenance Joiner, with excellent communication skills alongside a strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Additional skills required:
- Time served ideally, but with a minimum of NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent).
- Working knowledge of various aspects of the construction industry.
- Full UK Driving Licence, to cover a small number of sites (within local vicinity).
- Ability to interpret specifications from drawings set out by the Management Team.
- The ability to carry out works from concept to completion.
- Experience using access equipment (Towers, MEWP’s etc.)
- Good understanding of Health & Safety.
- Ability to ensure that work is completed effectively including efficient use of time and materials.
**What is On Offer**:
The Maintenance Joiner will receive a competitive basic salary of up to £30,000 depending on experience. In addition, you will receive the following benefits:
- 32 days holiday (including bank hols) 33 days in 2023.
