Trainee Senior Care Home Assistant Practitioner (CHAP)

The Trainee rate is £12.36 ph - purely during training - and successful applicants attend a 6 week training course with ourselves which - if successful - leads to the qualified CHAP role at £13.25 ph.

This is an enhanced Trainee Care Home Assistant Practitioner role in Stoke-on-Trent where you will support other nursing colleagues to deliver clinical services such as the administration of medication, wound care, carry out a range of clinical observations and contribute to the care planning process.

You will be supporting and helping to lead the whole team whilst maintaining and promoting high standards of care, safety and quality.

**Working hours**

Night shifts available, full time

Night shift times are: 8.00pm -8.00am

**What we require from you as a Trainee Senior Care Home Assistant Practitioner**:
To carry out this role we are looking for people who possess a naturally friendly and positive attitude, committed to providing quality care whilst promoting the resident’s rights and choices and maintain their dignity always. You must be able to empathise and have the wiliness to understand the residents needs and wishes. You must be able to communicate effectively both written and verbal.

**Skills and qualifications required for the role**:

- As Trainee CHAP you will need relevant leadership experience and additional clinical skills achieved.
- Must have Health & Social Care Level 3 or willing to undertake course.
- Must be willing to undertake 6 weeks paid CHAPS training course.
- Must have Nursing Home Experience.
- Must have experience of working with Residents with Dementia
