Job Title - Yard Operative

Location - Mellor Brook, Lancashire

Monks Contractors are waste specialists - we provide haulage and waste specification plant hire to the waste industry. We also have a high pressure water drain jetting team, civil contracting team, plant repair, hire and sales

Responsible to: Workshop Foreman

We need a self-motivated and energetic person to carry out yard duties, which include the interior and exterior of the building and various duties to aid in the smooth running of the site, in line with Company standards

**Responsible for;**
- General operational yard duties including keeping the yard tidy and in a safe condition
- Maintaining ISO standards such as; completing workshop inspections, ensuring all equipment is inspected and calibrated, maintaining workshop registers, NCR's and any other Health and Safety related tasks
- General housekeeping of the workshop to ensure it is kept clean and tidy and in line with Company standards
- Cleaning of operational vehicles
- Undertake general Health & Safety tasks such as checking of first aid equipment and fire extinguishers etc
- Driving duties such as ad hoc collection and delivery of items for the workshop
- Grounds and building maintenance
- General labouring
- Operate equipment where required in a safe and trained manner

**Essential Requirements;**
- Drivers Licence - Class 2 preferably
- Enthusiastic and committed
- Willing to learn and be part of a team
- Understanding of Health and Safety obligations
- Have a flexible approach to suit the business

Pay: £12.50-£13.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 50 per week

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

- Driving Licence (required)
