**Job Title**:Warehouse Supervisor

**Department**:Warehouse, Shopfloor and Outside

**Reports to**:Operations Manager

**Place of work**:Mergon UK Ltd, Centurian Way, Off Roman Road, Blackburn, BB1 2LD

**Hours of Work**:
40 hours per week

8.00am - 5.00pm Monday - Friday, with a 30 minute lunchbreak and two 15 minute breaks.

**Job Purpose**:To be responsible for running of the Warehouse Department, staffing duties and related responsibilities, to oversee training requirement, health and safety and stock control.

The role is to cover the following key areas:

- Forklift Trucks
- Transport
- Housekeeping to a 5s standard
- Stock Control
- Communications
- Quality Control
- Health & Safety

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Assigning finished stock to assigned areas, labelled and quality identified.
- Delegating Warehouse staff to; loading, unloading and storage duties.
- Ensuring all finished stock is stored correctly and in a neat and tidy condition, and in all specific storage areas; both internal and external as necessary.
- Monitoring the loading of customers’ orders/stock to the assigned trailers.
- Loading and unloading as required.
- Ensuring all vehicles have been correctly audited prior to departure.
- Ensuring that all areas of the outside yards are kept in a clean and tidy area, following the 5s standards.
- Ensuring that all Health & Safety procedures are adhered too, with specific attention to Forklift Truck, their maintenance and usage.
- Carrying out the departmental reviews; including, performance reviews, and overseeing the Learning & Development programme within the department
- Arranging training requirement for the department alongside of the Operations Manager and HR.

**Skills Required**:

- Previous experience in a similar environment is an advantage, with a proven experience of Managing a team.
- Demonstrate excellence in leadership and team building skills.
- Is approachable, a good communicator and able to develop good working relationships.
- Excellent understanding of warehouse management procedures.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Outstanding leadership and can demonstrate good problem-solving skills.

**Qualifications Required**:

- Valid drivers' license
- Ability to operate forklift effectively, relevant qualifications essential.
- Maintaining awareness and conditions of fleet vehicles.
