**Hours: 6:00-14:00 Mon-Fri**

**Direct Reports**: Up to 10 FTE’s

**SUMMARY OF DUTES / JOB OVERVIEW**
- At all times set a good example to colleagues with regards to health and safety, hygiene, quality and work ethics, leading by example.
- Adhering to all site Health & Safety and Hygiene Regulations and Warehouse Rules, manage the daily duties of a shift to assist in the facilitation of warehousing and distribution services to support the manufacturing processes, warehousing and customer delivery of products.
- To ensure that all customer orders, stock movements and stock checks are completed accurately within set time limits.
- To ensure that all customer orders are correctly picked and loaded in good condition and to customers’ delivery requirements.
- Working with the stock co-ordinator, assist in the upkeep of accurate stock records ensuring that stock anomalies are reported and actions are taken to ensure stock records are correct.
- To continually look to improve the Logistics Operations and assist in cost saving initiatives, Training Programmes and where applicable highlighting ideas to improve processes with the site Management.
- To perform additional tasks necessary as requested by management to ensure the safe and smooth running of the site.

**HEALTH & SAFETY RESPONSIBILLITIES**
- Take responsibility for your own and your department (shift) Health & Safety.
- Lead by setting a good example of working safely at all times
- Actively promote positive steps to make improvements for the departments Health & Safety practice.
- Manage staff to uphold good H&S Practice and ensure that correct procedures are followed
- Take an active role in the management and upkeep of the Departmental Risk Assessment and SWP programmes.
- Report any Health & Safety breaches witnessed or concerns regarding unsafe practices to site management.
- Ensure that all Fork Lift Truck and Mechanical pre-use checks are completed and recorded properly and correctly by your shift, ensuring that all staff and equipment are 100% compliant.
- Ensure that your own and your staff’s training is kept up to date and accurate records are kept
- Ensure that any accidents, incidents or near misses are investigated, recorded and documented correctly.

**OPERATIONAL RESPONSIBILLITIES**

**General**
- Take overall responsibility for the accuracy and quality of all work undertaken on the shift
- Ensure that effective hand over is carried to the surrounding shifts with good communication level with other supervisors
- Proactively work to ensure that your shift meets specified targets
- Be flexible in your attitude to problem solving, setting a good example to colleagues and offer assistance to other staff and departments if required.
- Manage shift holiday planning within departmental/company guidelines to ensure no impact upon the business from insufficient staff levels.
- Maintain good communication links/working relationships with all other staff and management
- Ensure that waste is disposed of via the correct waste streams / skips etc.
- Ensure that 5S hygiene standards are kept to the required standard and records accurately kept

**Production Support **_**:

- **_Manage staff/processes to:_
- Ensure that all consumables are delivered to the correct areas within production and that stock levels are maintained in a timely manner to support the production process.
- Ensure that all production scrap is removed from production areas weighed, recorded correctly and safely stored or loaded for transport.
- Ensure that all manufactured product is removed from the production areas safely and efficiently.
- Ensure that all pallets are wrapped correctly and that wrapping or labelling defects are corrected prior to locating in the warehouse.
- Ensure that all waste is removed from the production and warehouse areas safely and deposited in the correct skip for removal from site.

**Warehousing **_**:

- **_Manage staff/processes to:_
- Follow the warehouse rules for operating/driving a FLT at all times.
- Following the correct stock locating at all times (Scan ALL pallet movements)
- Ensure that empty location/bay checks are carried out and that stock movement records are maintained and recorded accurately.
