We not only provide a platform, but our proposition also spans a consultancy division, as well as a new Social Value learning academy.
**About You**
**The Role**
We are looking for an enthusiastic Social Value Economist or Researcher with experience and/or a strong interest in social value, socioeconomics, or sustainable development.
You will be directly involved in the development of the TOMs from a methodological perspective, driving the expansion of the framework and the development new innovative and intelligent solutions and thought leadership within the sector thereby constantly pushing the boundaries on the measurement of social value and local economic value. Acting as a company ambassador and TOMs expert, you will be responsible to deliver training on social value and social impact measurement and valuation to internal and external stakeholders and support sales, consulting, and customer service team by providing expertise.
**What you will be doing**
- Supporting and producing evidence-based recommendations for the update and development of the TOMs framework
- Developing functionality within the TOMs framework to monetise and calculate the Social Value of specific interventions.
- Supporting other teams in the work to assess the social value committed or delivered using a range of methods including cost-benefit analysis, wellbeing concepts, and estimation Green Book Guidance on Wellbeing
- Working with colleagues in the research team and across other teams to develop new solutions and evolve the presentation
- Support the introduction of new TOMs related products making sure they are aligned with Social Value principles and evaluation methodologies
- Ensuring your research and work is practical and targeted, draws out your conclusions and follows best practice in quality assurance
- Select and analyse appropriate data and information to produce evidence-based advice
**Requirements**:
- Relevant graduate or post graduate qualifications, preferably in Economics or a related field
- A general interest in socio-economics issues and sustainable development
- Experience providing evidence-based recommendations, following best practice in quality assurance combined with good logical reasoning
- Enjoys exact and precise working as well as thinking outside the box to find innovative solutions to complex problems
- Ability to support the delivery of research and analytical projects through building of effective working relationships with colleagues across the organisation, and with relevant stakeholders both across SVP as well as externally
- Excellent communication, both orally and in writing, and an ability to write both technical and concise and accessible reports
- Data analytical skills (e.g. experience with STATA, R, advanced Excel)
- Ability to build strong client relationships, regardless of levels of seniority
**Desirable skills and experience**:
- Experience in one or more of the following fields
- Economic modelling
- Evaluation of socio-economic or environmental policies and impacts (such as cost-benefit analysis)
- Knowledge of valuation rules and guidelines (such as Green Book)
- Business acumen and the ability to identify new opportunities
- Working within cross-sectoral stakeholder groups (public, private, third sector)
- Experience facilitating stakeholder engagement workshops
