Air Conditioning Installer

Are you an experienced air conditioning service engineer with knowledge and experience within the HVAC installation and service industry?

We are pleased to be able to have a requirement to recruit an experienced engineer to work as a key part of our rapidly growing mobile team supplying air conditioning and HVAC competency for commercial and high-end domestic clients.

**Scope**:

- Carry out installation and commissioning, planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to air conditioning & mechanical services, AHU, and other air handing and ventilation equipment.
- Occasional reactive maintenance in accordance with the client’s contract requirements or agreed response times.
- Experience working within domestic and commercial installation of air conditioning and heat pump technology.
- Provide a high level of air-conditioning technical and hands on support in the provision of our service delivery and the daily communication with clients.
- Respond in a prompt and effective manner to all reactive maintenance issues and help desk requests associated with HVAC services and associated mechanical systems or items.
- Must be flexible with a positive attitude and approach to working hours to meet clients needs.
- Proactively work towards the growth of the business into other service provisions be they mechanical and electrical, life cycle replacements, project works, etc.
- Carry out any ad hoc duties as directed by Line Manager.

**Essential Skills and Experience**
- Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Installing, Testing and Maintaining Air Conditioning and Heat Pump Systems (6187-01) Plus Installing and Maintaining Refrigeration Systems (6187-02)
- Level 3 NVQ Certificate in Servicing and Maintaining Air Conditioning and Heat Pump Systems (6187-04)
- City & Guilds 2079 F-Gas CAT1 ODS Regulations Qualification
- City & Guilds 6187-21 (6187) Hydrocarbon Qualification
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience post qualification with a clear background installing split heat
- pump systems.
- Experienced in the installation, service, repair and maintenance of a wide range of air conditioning & heat pump units.
- Electrical awareness and fault-finding ability.
- Experienced in managing own workload.
- Must hold a valid full UK driving license.
- Good ethic and self-motivated to request future training and development as the business expands.

**Desirable skills and experience**
- BS7671 18th Edition.
- Health and Safety Training.
- Experience in using job management systems via a mobile or tablet app.
- Experienced in mechanical aspects of general building PPM schedules, and reactive works.

**Remunerations**:

- Full time, permanent position - Monday to Friday, 40 contracted hours
- Salary between £35,000 - £40,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
- Overtime is paid for hours worked over 40 hours per week. Overtime paid at time and a quarter of basic rate.
- 20 days paid holiday per annum plus all statutory bank holidays (1 additional days holiday for every year worked - max 3).
