Operations Planner

Due to ongoing expansion Currie Solutions require an experienced **Operations Planner** to join their team in Ecclefechan.

**Please note this position is night shift and is on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern.**

In addition to this, you will be responsible for managing sub-contractor relationships to ensure they are providing the expected service levels to the business.

**The job**:

- To manage data flows between departments, sub-contractors and customers.
- To ensure the all relevant information is relayed to all affected areas.
- To ensure that our Traffic Management System contains both accurate pricing and accurate costs.
- Plan allocated Vehicles/*Area(s)/*Shift(s).
- Routing and scheduling of vehicles and drivers in the most cost effective manner and within time parameters set by customers.
- Communicate all relevant information to drivers.
- Deal with telephone (driver and customer) or pass to relevant department if appropriate.
- Accurate input of data into traffic management system ensuring all required data fields are completed.
- Monitor and aid drivers to run within tachograph regulations

**Experience/ qualifications and skills required**:

- Ability to work in a fast pace, ever changing environment.
- Good understanding/knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Hands on experience of Fleet Planning.

**Additional skills preferred**:

- Minimum 3 years proven experience in a similar position
- Good geographical knowledge of the UK

- Night shift

**Experience**:

- Fleet Planning: 3 years (preferred)
- UK Road Haulage: 3 years (preferred)
