**Job Summary**

The post holder will work as part of the Clinical Effectiveness Team to support the delivery of the clinical audit programme and implementation of best practice guidance.Tasks will include development and support for audit activities based on national andlocal priorities, evidencing our compliance with CQC regulations and monitoring of NICE guidance implementation. The post holder will support divisions to develop their quality improvement plans following the recommendations from audit and best practice guidance.

**Job Duties**
- Demonstrate highly effective customer relation communication skills to ensure effective communication with colleagues/staff members and external agencies which facilitate and promote multi - disciplinary working.
- Act as a positive role model for colleagues and other staff at all times.
- Provide and receive information concerning practice development and audit to and from a range of services and clinical teams.
- Persuasion, motivation, and negotiation skills - seeking agreement or cooperation required for the implementation of quality improvement and required change.
- Report clinical audit and effectiveness information to a wide variety of clinical staff ensuring motivation, empathy and encouragement.
- Provide clinical audit reports and presentations as required. Ensure that clear, concise, evidence-based rationales have been provided in support of all recommendations and/or determinations.
- To assist in the co-ordination, facilitation and embedding of high-quality clinical audit and effectiveness programmes and working closely with the divisional based quality improvement facilitators to develop quality improvement programmes related to auditand best practice recommendations.
- To assist in the development, implementation, analysis and monitoring of clinical audit based on organisational, local and national priorities, taking into account recommendations from National Strategies, NICE Guidance, best practice, agreed standardsand contract requirements (e.g. quality metrics).
- Working with the Clinical Audit Manager/Clinical Effectiveness Manager and Clinical Effectiveness Facilitator, ensuring the annual clinical improvement and effectiveness programme is supported.
- To work as a clinical improvement, quality and effectiveness specialist within the governance team to support changes in practice, based on evidence, research, audit action plans and best practice, which improve and impact positively on patient outcomes.
- To analyse, understand and interpret individual, corporate and national guidance and clinical audit data and use judgement skills to formulate solutions recommending the best course of action.
- Working closely with the quality improvement facilitators to advise the services on their performance against action plans and progress against targets, for example quality improvement key performance Indicators, implementation of national guidance, clinicalaudit action plans.
- To assist in the co-ordination, facilitation and embedding of high quality clinical audit, effectiveness and quality improvement programmes to all services.
- To support quality and compliance work streams and to triangulate and centralise, information and improvements, to ensure the Trust has sufficient evidence to meet the clinical outcomes of the Care Quality Commission (CQC) regulations.
- To assist in the provision of training and support in all aspects of clinical quality improvement methodologies.
- Participate in an annual appraisal of their work. In line with the annual personal development plan the post holder will be expected to undertake any training and development required to fulfil their role.
- To assist in the provision of training and support in all aspects of clinical quality improvement methodologies.
- To adequately plan, organise and prioritise own workload.
