**What you'll work on**
As part of the Council's Housing Options and Homelessness Service, the role will involve working within the Relief Team as a Homelessness Relief Officer. You will be providing and comprehensive assessments of people who are homeless in accordance with the Homelessness Reduction Act and Part VII of the Housing Act.
The base for the role is either Crewe or Macclesfield, however you will be predominantly home based. Travel across Cheshire East and attendance to council office(s) is required. We provide full IT equipment, training, connectivity to the team and wider services, and managerial support.

Weekly hours: 36 per week
Length of contract: 3 months initially
**Requirements**:
- Experience in this kind of role in a Local Authority
- Knowledge of housing options and advice, and an understanding of housing remedies including housing allocations
- Applicants must have experience of allocations, homelessness and dealing with vulnerable residents or residents with complex needs
- Ability To Organise Own Workload To Meet Targets & Deadlines
- Ability To Work As Part Of A Team And On Own Initiative
**Job Types**: Full-time, Temporary contract
