**Who are we?**

Scott and Mears Credit Services Limited is a local Debt Collection agency which has been established in Southend for over 30 years. However, our clients are located around the UK, and we also work in Europe. As a result of various new projects due to start soon we are expanding our business to go beyond our clients’ expectations, and we are looking to recruit individuals who will relish working in an environment which is both fun and demanding.

As part of the expansion, we have now moved offices to a new building close to the airport which is great It comes with an on-site gym (which as an employee is free to use), a cafeteria, a pub come brewery (yes You read that right) and there is an on-site venue which is fast becoming popular with locals over the weekend. There are also some boring things like free parking, pension, generous holidays, and a bonus scheme (which we are just finalising).

**Job description**

You will be a person who is looking for a change and can add value to our business. (Training is provided)

What you will do:
Talk with our customers, listen to them and work with them to agree a way forward, such as a agreeing an affordable and sustainable repayment plan. You will achieve this by demonstrating fantastic customer service expertise, such as empathy and listening skills, using the information shared with you to support your customers to make informed decisions.

What you will bring to the role:

- You are a good communicator, great listener and able to demonstrate empathy when needed (which will be often)
- Superb computer skills and the ability to learn our case management system.
- Experience working in a Contact Centre environment before or have extensive experience within a customer-facing role.
- An understanding of regulatory requirements (including CONC and CCA) within the financial services industry or a strong willingness to learn.
- Be confident about speaking to customers on the phone and updating systems with what you have agreed.
- Team Player.
- You have a can-do attitude and want to build a career within financial services.

The job commences with a 3-month probationary period and if all goes will (as we know it will) the job becomes permanent.

Full time hours 9am-5pm Monday to Thursday & 9-4 on Friday. (Although there may be a need to change these hours with shifts becoming a possibility - we really are going to be busy)
