**Your Role**:
Supervision of the Malvern Finance Department. Responsible for assisting the Finance Manager with the monthly production of accurate accounts information for the Controller whilst managing the day-to-day activities of a busy Finance office. Supporting time-sensitive information requests from inter-company departments.

**Your Responsibilities**:
Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Responsible for the day-to-day activities in the Malvern Finance office and providing support, training, and guidance to the Malvern Finance Administrators when required.
- Responsible for reconciliation and submission of monthly VAT returns for onward transmission to HMRC.
- Responsible for managing the daily banking activity, including entering new payment templates, bank payments, bank receipts reconciliations, and main contact for communication with the banks, and bank online administrator.
- Purchase Invoices - Entering through ERP for the normal day-to-day invoices ensuring PO process approval and rigor is maintained.
- Provide support and training on Purchase Order processes to inter-company departments.
- Responsible for Quarterly Commission payments - Calculating and checking payments to Scottish and Eastern European Agents.
- Accountable for providing cover for Sales Invoicing, Petty Cash Reconciliation, and other daily support functions.
- Credit Control - Chasing customer payments of overdue accounts and generating Debtor Letters.
- Responsible for assessing Customer credit limits, using Experian to establish credit scores, and liaising with the Finance Manager or Controller for appropriate approvals.
- Responsible for Import Sales reports for the shipping department to assist in obtaining Import Documentation for HMRC, Import declarations, and chase carriers using the info on the deferred statement and the C79.
- Documenting Financial procedures ensuring information is accurate and updated in a timely manner as arises.
- Provide and maintain efficiencies within the ERP system, liaising with the entire Pulsar Measurement Finance department and inter-company departments.
- TASI Reporting - Deputise for Finance Manager of daily Bookings & Shipments reporting information for Essex to distribute.
- Responsible for Period End processes for Malvern, completing various reporting requirements for the TASI group and company reporting packs.
- Assisting senior team members with information requests for internal & external audits. Complete other ad-hoc duties as required by the department.

**Travel**:

- Limited but as required to fulfill business demands.

**Your background**:

- Part-qualified accountant or actively studying towards a relevant qualification and or the necessary experience in a similar financial role(s).
- Fully conversant in Microsoft office, showing an advanced level of proficiency in Excel.
- High level of experience in ERP and accounting software.
- An analytical thinker who possesses attention to detail.
- Ambition to remain current and conversant in financial best practices and compliance.
- Possesses an exceptional work ethic, with the ability to work flexibly and prioritize to meet tight deadlines.
- Good people management skills, team member and builder with the ability to motivate and empower others.
- Possess a high level of emotional intelligence and desire to mentor and assist peers and team members.
