**Responsible to**: Data Manager
**Location**:Senior School, Cambridge with the requirement to travel to other Foundation sites.

**Key accountabilities (data)**
- Monitor the entry and storage of accurate data into the MIS (SIMS) system
- Assist in the management of the ‘core’ modules of MIS (SIMS), ensuring all members of staff receive appropriatelevels of access to school data, in line with data protection guidelines
- Train on functions relating to SIMS (as contributor or owner depending on context)
- Collaborate with the IT department and appropriate 3rd parties to ensure the MIS (SIMS) is always current withregard to software; documentation; user accounts; procedures, etc.
- Collaborate with key users to build their knowledge of SIMS enabling them to provide support in assessment,reporting and recording
- Prepare data for whole school and departmental self-evaluation; reviews; target setting and census returns
- Ensure the smooth transition of all management information from one academic year to the next
- Provide SIMS support to teaching staff
- Import data into SIMS from benchmark testing e.g. MidYIS
- Present data appropriately and as required to relevant colleagues in order to facilitate assessment and thetracking of progress
- Manage the ClassList system with the PFA.
**Training**
- Deliver SIMS training across the Foundation
**Management of Learning Information (data) to include**:

- Assist the Data Manager with census returns
- Train staff on use of data, and in using SIMS
- Produce templates for the student reporting cycle
- Weekly/half termly reports medical and allergies
- Supporting HoS and admin teams in monitoring absence completion in the MIS
- Produce all assessment mark sheets
- Manage and oversee the production of student assessment reports for parents
- Be a contact with SCOMIS and ESS and all other related system providers; keep licenses up to date; work withIT Support in maintaining uses and user accounts; troubleshooting issues to do with the SIMS system and theuse of it
- Administer SIMS related systems including ParentMail
- Assist with Rooming & Cover in the absence of the Timetable and Cover Manager
**General Responsibilities**
- Act as an excellent ambassador for the Foundation at all times.
- Build and maintain good working relationships with all Foundation colleagues.
- Assist as necessary in other Foundation areas at peak times.
- Work at all times towards the aims and goals of the Foundation and any individual objectives and targets youmay have agreed.
- Proactively identify areas for improvements within the Foundation.
- Actively promote the Foundation’s Equal Opportunities Policy, encouraging staff awareness and participationin all areas.
- Act in accordance with the Data Protection principles at all times.
- Adhere at all times to Foundation operational and employment policies and procedures.
- Take care of your own health and safety and that of people who may be affected by what you do (or do not do).
- Cooperate with others on health and safety, and not interfere with, or misuse, anything provided for your health, safety or welfare.
- Follow the training you have received when using any work items the Foundation has provided.
- Adhere to the Foundation’s Privacy Notice and ensure private and confidential data is kept secure and disposed of in the appropriate manner.
