Strengthening families is a team made up of registered nurses, children's nurse, mental health nurses, health visitors and nursery nurses.

We have a partnership approach to meeting the health needs of Cumbrian families based on a model of holistic family care, the family are partners in the achievement of outcomes. We work with families to identify health needs, offer support, implement a plan of care, signpost to other services and deliver the Healthy Child Programme.

The service is provided to families with children age 0-19yrs who have a Child in Need or Protection Plan, who are Children in Care or open to the Youth Offending Service.

We are looking to recruit a bank nurses to join our supportive and caring team.

This work will be predominantly completing Review Health Assessments for Children in Care, following up health actions and making referrals to other services. Other aspects of Children in Care work will be required. Due to the area being covered some of this work may be completed through remote working.

We are looking for an experienced Registered Nurse/Sick Childrens Nurse ideally with experience working with children and their families in the Community. We would prefer the applicant to have a particular interest in Safeguarding/Children in Care.

Strengthening Families service works alongside families to identify health needs, offer support, implement a plan of care, signpost to other services and deliver the pre-school Healthy Child Programme.

The service is provided to families with children age 0-19yrs who fit into the following categories - Child protection plan, child looked after and young people open to the Youth Offending Service. We are looking to recruit a bank Health Visitor to join our supportive and caring team. This opportunity will give a Health Visitor in the Universal team an alternative practice experience alongside their current role.
