We currently have an opportunity for a
**Proactive Data Lead **to join our team in the Service Support Centre (SSC) based
**in Exeter. **Joining us on a
**full-time permanent** basis, you will receive a competitive salary of
**£28,350 - £31,500 per annum **plus excellent benefits.

**About the role**

As our Proactive Data Lead, you will lead and develop the use of data within the proactive initiatives programme across South West Water.

You will lead and develop the use of data in the development and presentation of management information to support the efficient management of the SSC and inform internal stakeholders.

The role will focus on the data aspects in delivery of new initiatives, improvements, and maintenance to existing initiatives within the DWS and WWS business. This is to contribute to the collective objective to deliver pollution, flooding, and compliance performance improvements and management of the drinking water production, network, and resources.

**What you’ll be doing**:

- Developing ideas and concepts that use data in the SSC proactively to predict or mitigate the impacts of issues designed to improve pollution performance, aid network optimisation, or provide other efficiency benefits to the organisation
- Supporting the production of management reporting and visibility within the Service Support Centre
- Supporting the delivery of the Proactive control workstream, including the development of all non-SCADA based tools, AI, data and analytics and performance measures that are being put in place to predict issues impacting the WWS business and improving DWS performance
- Championing the data sets used within the SSC promoting their use and improving accuracy, governance, and visibility throughout the organisation
- Working with the project team to lead the SSC’s implementation of the ICM Live data product into a business-as-usual activity in the SSC from proof of concept to testing and monitoring the operational response

**What we are looking for**:

- Educated to degree level or equivalent and can demonstrate appropriate experience
- Excellent communication skills, able to communicate verbally and in writing across the business at all levels
- Full UK Driving License
- UK travel as required
