We are on the hunt for an awesome accounts and tax assistant to join our growing team.

**To give you an insight into the role some of your responsibilities will include**:

- Accounting
- General bookkeeping; data entry and bank reconciliation using software such as Xero and Quickbooks.
- Preparation of self-assessment tax returns
- VAT Returns
- Control account reconciliations
- Liaising with current and new clients to ensure all processing is accurate and timely
- Liaising with HMRC
- Other duties as required

**Knowledge, skills and attributes**
- At least 2 years of accountancy practice experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work to deadline
- Confident and friendly

**Training**

In return for your hard work, we will employ you on a permanent contract, pay you a competitive salary, provide 20 days holiday and bank holidays (pro-rated), with an additional day off for your birthday and contribute towards your pension.

Most of our work has a requirement to be in the office, but we are happy to discuss the possibility of remote working if the need arises. Pay: £12.00-£13.50 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 37.5 per week
