**Volution Ventilation UK **is looking for a Supply Chain Assistant to join their Planning and Supply Chain team in Reading. The main purpose of this role, is to work closely with a selection of key suppliers to ensure that products and components are available to meet all production build dates and customer required dates.

**Job profile**:
This role will be responsible for our Manrose, Vent-Axia and Airtech brands, working closely with a selection of key suppliers and shipping agents to ensure that products and components are available to meet all ‘production build dates’ and ‘customer required dates’.

You will raise new order requirements and maintain accurate delivery dates on the company ERP system (Epicor).

You must have intermediate - advanced Excel skills. This will be assessed during the interview process.

**As a Supply Chain Assistant, your main responsibilities will include**:

- Day to Day Relationship management of our Far East, European, UK and Intercompany suppliers
- Raising purchase orders for components in line with expected demand to meet production build dates.
- Track inbound shipments and deliveries to ensure that they are received on time, expedite / de-expedite if necessary.
- Operate as a key member of the purchasing team, communicating any potential delays or shortages to the wider business.
- Work with both internal and 3rd party suppliers to help prioritise, if needed.
- Keep in regular contact with suppliers and shipping agents in regard to delivery schedules, updating and maintaining the system to reflect accurate inbound dates
- Supporting price negotiations within your supplier portfolio
- Manage and identify SLOB opportunities across the group.
- Working closely with suppliers to support ongoing supplier performance improvements, including lead-time reduction, price reduction and delivery on time and in full
- Maintaining supplier database on accessed supplier risks

**To be successful in this role, you will have**:

- Prior experience within a Purchasing, Planning, Scheduling, Buying or Supply chain role
- Strong numeracy skills, and attention to detail
- Good working knowledge of ERP /MRP systems (Epicor)
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills
- Highly organised, with great planning abilities, and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Results driven, combined with a positive attitude, high level of energy, passion and enthusiasm.
- Full understanding of Microsoft packages - Excel essential to intermediate/ advanced level.
- Continuous improvement mindset.
