Working proactively with DBS business areas and HR Business Partners (HRBPs) to generate initiatives and solutions which build a capable, committed and connected workforce. DBS’s People Approach, which links to the DBS Annual Delivery Plan and our corporate People Risk, provides the overall framework for the team’s deliverables which align with a series of identified priorities, both current and forward looking.

Key areas of the team’s responsibilities include:

- Corporate People Governance Assurance & Capability

This is role will support effective Corporate Governance and local DBS People Risk mitigation actions.

Using insight and management information from a range of sources, you'll help to shape the way we deliver and plan our People programme focusing on key priorities and objectives.

In a support function, you'll be responsible for collating and analysing people-statistical information and preparing management information data packs to support reporting for wider DBS corporate boards. Working alongside people and project leads in DBS and the wider MOD, you'll also work to ensure the successful delivery of people projects in support of a broad range of MOD and DBS people processes and policies.

You'll collaborate with colleagues, supporting and empowering them deliver their objectives as effectively and efficiently as possible. The people environment is so fluid, that tasking and priorities are required to change in response to ongoing business transformations across DBS, as well as new, emerging priorities. So a flexible and agile approach to achieving goals is essential.

Applicants should note that DBS has recently undertaken a review of its operational locations in the North West, and will consolidate all activities in Blackpool. This means that DBS staff will move from both Walker House (Liverpool) and Cheadle Hulme in the late Summer of 2023 and initially relocate to Tomlinson House (Norcross). A further move, to the new Government Hub at Talbot Gateway in Blackpool, is scheduled to take place in 2026.

As a result, all vacant DBS posts in the North West will be advertised at Tomlinson House (Norcross). There is, however, an expectation that all DBS staff, irrespective of their agreed duty station, will travel to other DBS and/or MOD site(s), as required, to complete all necessary training and to participate in team or additional collabo
