The HR Generalist will report to the HR Manager and be a part of a wider established HR team. With HR Generalists’ being partnered with a variety of internal departments and become the key point of contact, the role-holder will be required to work with Line Managers and Supervisors to assist all HR queries for a given area of the business and enhance the employee life cycle.

**Responsibilities**:

- Becoming the HR point of contact for a number departments with the vision of supporting the employee life cycle, ensuring processes are updated and reviewed in line with current best practice in this area
- Provision of advice to line managers and staff in line with policies, procedures and legislative requirements
- Liaise with Departmental Line Managers regarding their recruitment requirements, developing job descriptions and person specifications, participating in shortlisting and assisting interviews
- Working alongside the HR team to achieve the range of active HR Projects, ensuring all projects are tracked, communicated and delivered
- Preparation of staff employment contracts and distribution of same
- Liaise with both payroll and the allocated departments on a monthly basis regarding contractual changes
- Ensure the termination of fixed term contracts in line with the statutory dismissal procedure
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with employees at all levels across the business
- At least 2 years’ experience in working with HR related administration
- Professionally qualified (CIPD Level 5) or working towards this
- Worked in a fast-paced environment, delivering high quality service and results
- Excellent communicator with the ability to communicate and engage with all levels of management

Desirable:

- Third Level Qualification (University Degree)
- Experience in the use of computerised HRIS (e.g. Softworks)
- Experience working within the Food Manufacturing industry

**Salary**: £26,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
