**The Opportunity**:
With four Volkswagen Van Centres as part of our group we have expanded our offering to include a van rental service to our customers in partnership with Volkswagen Financial Services and their Rent-A-Car product which is very innovative rental programme with an ambitious future strategy.

Due to the launch of this new product offering, we are now recruiting for a Rental Agent based out of Liverpool Van Centre to deliver fantastic customer service to our customers who are looking to rent a commercial vehicle. Reporting into the Rental Manager you will be responsible for booking out rentals, negotiating fees, checking in vehicles in and managing various business accounts.

As a Rental Agent, you will work closely with our sales and fleet department to identify opportunities to develop business in the local area. Above all, you will provide the best possible service that our customers have come to expect.

**More about the role**:

- Dealing with the general public and corporate clients on the phone and in person
- Processing payments and ID checks correctly, including pre-authorisation/card details/ credit checks etc.
- Check in and out of vehicles
- Resolving problems and delivering outstanding customer service
- To increase the number of local corporate accounts within the designated area
- Identify new potential sales areas
- Vehicle status management/weekly audit of vehicles
- Administration of maintenance on all vehicles
- Manage a number of local longterm rental accounts

**More about you**:
To be successful in this role you should be able to demonstrate the following:

- Previous experience in a vehicle rental role would be beneficial
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with customers
- Must hold a clean UK driving licence
- Have a strong customer service ethic with great people skills
- Be positive and have a sales focused attitude
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office

Founded in 2003 by Michael Smyth and his three sons, David, Peter and John, Swansway has grown from five motor dealerships in Cheshire and the West Midlands to the 20 dealerships we have today.
